Entertainment is never hard to find in Franklin County here in the Adirondacks. Almanzo Wilder's Homestead, site of Laura Ingalls Wilder's book, "Farmer Boy," is a delight for all. High Falls Park in Chateaugay is a breathtaking natural wonder.
The historic Robert Louis Stevenson Cottage is open to the public. The Adirondack Interpretive Center provides visitors with trails, a theatre, demonstrations and festival programs. Tour the Chateaugay or Adirondack Fish Hatchery and witness the development of salmon and trout species.
The county's historic past is evident with a visit to the Franklin County House of History, the Six Nations Indians Museum and the Akwesasne Museum. Pendragon Theatre in Saranac Lake and Goff-Nelson Library in Tupper Lake are the county's tributes to the arts.
Don't miss a visit to White Pine Camp, this truly unique Adirondack Great Camp served as the 1926 summer White House of President Calvin Coolidge.
