Just down the river is the New York Power Vista Visitor Center, with self-guided tours at the fifth largest power project in the world. Located at river level is a million-dollar fishing pier, where anglers catch salmon and trout as the basis for many great fishing stories.
The three Falls of Niagara are situated in the oldest State Park in the nation. Its spectacular views continue to be protected from commercial development, the naturalist presentation is preserved to thrill and inspire all who visit. Goat Island is perfect for picnics, strolls or a brisk jog (there's a measured mile already laid out where you'll meet locals and visitors alike.) Explore the Three Sisters Islands for a closer look at the famous upper rapids of the Niagara.
Visit the Niagara Reservation State Park's Visitors Center; with hands-on displays, a movie theater, virtual reality helicopter ride, gift shop, dancing waters and the wonderful Great Lakes Gardens-all close to the Falls and all for your continuing enjoyment of nature.
Niagara County is rich in areas set aside for parks. The city of Niagara Falls boasts the Niagara Reservations State Park in its downtown area. Mid-town you'll find Hyde Park, featuring the Rose Garden, bocce courts, tennis courts, indoor ice rink, and band shell. The Hyde Park Golf Course is a step away.
